SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS

A client may come to Kataria Therapy because they want to enhance their psychological and emotional well-being, respond to difficulties that they are facing or because of mental health experience. Therapy and/or psychology sessions can benefit one who is interested in learning more about themself and working on their self development.

Kataria Therapy is work with your needs whether that be an assessment session, a follow up one-off session, a couple of sessions or a set number.

Psychological assessment

A psychological assessment is 90 minutes long. This entails discussing your emotional and mental health experiences indepth in a safe and private setting. The aim of the assessment is to gain a fuller understanding of the difficulties and experiences that you may be having, what had led you to have them, what is maintaining them and what you would like to focus on and work on in therapy. Sometimes to find the right ‘fit’ of therapy for a client, integrative approaches to therapy may be beneficial to the client, which entails tailoring therapy from multiple therapeutic model and approaches, not just one. 

Kataria Therapy provides psychological assessment and therapy for the following:

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • Specialised parenting assessments for person/s undergoing adoption processes with local authority social services.
  • Bespoke therapy sessions to support person/s in the process of becoming a parent whether that be a biological, foster or adoption parents.
  • Bespoke sessions to offer support to persons wanting to explore and address areas related to becoming a parent.

Psychological therapy/treatment

Psychological therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. At the end of the assessment, there will normally be an agreement to how many therapy sessions you will engage in initially to enable you to work towards your therapy goals. Treatment interventions are evidence-based and may include:
